About The Treatment Rooms Essex, Your Skin Clinic in Braintree

With you on the journey, not just the appointment.

Hello, I'm Emma. The Treatment Rooms Essex is my skin, laser and electrolysis clinic on Panfield Lane in Braintree, and the place I always wanted to find as a client myself: calm, honest and welcoming to everybody and every body.

This page is the who and the why. You'll meet the team, find out what matters most here, and see the local businesses I know, use and happily send my clients to. Good care is a community thing.

Why I Started The Treatment Rooms

Before skin, I was a ground operations manager in private aviation, looking after staff, aircraft, passengers and crew. Many of those passengers were VIPs, and looking after them taught me that the details matter, that people relax when they know exactly what is happening, and that looking after someone properly starts long before they arrive and carries on after they leave.

I brought all of that into the clinic. I trained in advanced electrolysis and Map My Mole dermoscopy because I wanted to offer care that is effective and safe, not just pretty. Every treatment starts with a proper consultation and an honest conversation, even if the honest answer is "you don't need this."

These days, my clients are my VIPs. Every one of them gets that same care, whether it's their first brow wax or their tenth electrolysis session.

I swapped the airport for a treatment room. Fewer engines, more eucalyptus, and nobody's luggage goes missing.

What The Treatment Rooms Stands For

Lots of clinics can do a facial. What makes this place feel different is how you are looked after while it happens.

No judgement, just results.

  • Everybody and every body

All genders, all bodies, all skin. I offer gender affirming hair removal and book intimate treatments by anatomy, never by assumptions.

  • Safety first

A full consultation before treatment, and any mole or mark I'm unsure of is checked with Map My Mole dermoscopy first.

  • Calm and clear

I explain what happens, how it feels and how long it takes. Nervous and neurodivergent clients are always welcome to ask for more time.

  • Honest advice

No upselling, no pressure. If you don't need a treatment, I'll tell you.

  • Confident about menopause

Perimenopause and menopause bring real skin and hair changes. They deserve expert care, not a lecture.

Local businesses I know and trust

Our Braintree Community

Good care sometimes means knowing whose door to knock on next. These are local businesses I know personally, have used myself, or send my clients to without a second thought. Nobody pays to be here.

Menopause and women's health

Absolute Health by Nurses

8 Park Farm, Witham Road, Braintree CM77 8LQ

Claire is a prescribing nurse practitioner and menopause specialist, offering private consultations, blood tests and HRT prescribing where appropriate. She has been on my treatment couch for longer than either of us will admit, and she looks after my own perimenopause care.

Claire looks after your hormones. I look after what they do to your skin and hair.

Artoria Tattoos Artoria Tattoos studio on Rayne Road, Braintree, neighbours of The Treatment Rooms Essex

Tattoos, and my neighbours

Artoria Tattoos

6 Rayne Road, Braintree CM7 2QH

Artoria are my neighbours, and a studio I trust with my own skin. Billy Venni, one of the co-owners, did a cover-up for me and I couldn't be happier with it. Good neighbours look out for each other, and Artoria always have.

Planning new ink in an area you're having laser hair removal on? Mention it at your consultation, because laser is never used over tattooed skin.

Billy sorted an old tattoo of mine. The original stays between us.

Nails

Holly Dixon Nails

Inside Artoria Tattoos, 6 Rayne Road, Braintree CM7 2QH

Holly does my nails regularly, from her own nail space inside Artoria. My hands are on show all day in clinic, so they need to look the part, and Holly makes sure they do.

Hands-on job, hands-down favourite nail tech.

Nutrition

Online nutrition support

Vicky is a nutritionist I've worked with, and her approach fits beautifully alongside skin plans like my Clearer Skin Programme. My clients get £20 off with the code TR20.

Great skin is an inside and outside job.

Not local, but very much part of the family.

I take the dermoscopy images, and UK consultant dermatologists review them. My safety net for every mole and mark.

About Us: Your Questions Answered

Who works at The Treatment Rooms Essex?

There are three of us. I'm Emma, the founder, and I look after skin, electrolysis, blemish removal, Map My Mole checks and intimate waxing. Lauren specialises in laser hair removal and waxing. Dr Emma Castro, a GMC-registered doctor, leads facial aesthetics.

Is the clinic inclusive?

Yes. Everybody and every body is welcome. I hold trans-inclusive and HIV-aware training, offer gender affirming hair removal, and book intimate treatments by anatomy rather than gender.

Why do you recommend other local businesses?

Good care sometimes means knowing who else to call. Every business on this page is one I know personally, have used myself or happily refer my clients to. Nobody pays to be listed.

Can I have laser hair removal over a tattoo?

No. Laser is never used over tattooed skin, because the ink absorbs the light. If you are planning new ink in an area you are treating, tell me and your tattoo artist so the timing can be planned around both. Individual results vary.

Is there parking at the clinic?

There is no on-site client parking. My Find Us page has a map and the nearest parking options.

Where are you based?

1 Twyford Court, Panfield Lane, Braintree, Essex CM7 2TH. I see clients from Black Notley, Witham, Halstead, Coggeshall, Great Dunmow and across Essex.
