For 24-48 hours after the treatment:

  • Avoid touching the waxed area with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid having a shower immediately.
  • Avoid wearing tight fitting clothing, friction or massage on the area.
  • Avoid having a bath, sauna, steam room, or other heat treatments.
  • Avoid exposing the area to the sun, sunlight or sunbeds.
  • Avoid gym work, swimming and other exercise.
  • Avoid applying talc, make up. (unless it's pure mineral make up) fake-tanning, exfoliating products, or the use of body brush / loofah.
  • Avoid applying body sprays, deodorants, perfume, lotions or other products to the area other than those recommended by your therapist.
  • Avoid getting soaps or shower gels on your waxed areas during your first hair free shower. Just rinse off with lukewarm water.
  • Apply antiseptic cream on newly waxed areas regularly for 2-3 days after the treatment. Always wash your hands before applying any products.
  • Using an antibacterial skin wash or adding a cup of Dead Sea Salts to your bath will help reduce and prevent any infection and inflammation, and speeds up the healing process.

From 2-3 days after the treatment:

  • All areas that have been waxed should be cleaned on a daily basis and moisturised to keep the skin vibrant.
  • Apply sun block daily to prevent sunlight from interfering with the healing process.
  • Regular exfoliation can be helpful, especially on the legs and arms.
  • We highly recommend the use of a body brush or loofah to cope with ingrown hairs.
  • Avoid tight clothing especially in the freshly waxed area. Tight clothing may result in irritation and ingrown hairs.

Most people find the hair will start to re-grow within 7-10 days following treatment. It will take up to four treatments spaced evenly apart for your hair to achieve a growth cycle that gives the best results. The hair needs to be a certain length in order to successfully remove it by waxing. We recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks before the hair roots fully develop, so you will have less pain and easily maintain your smooth appearance.

Eyelash Extension Aftercare

The eyelash cycle is approximately four to twelve weeks.  Do not be alarmed if some of your lashes fall out quickly (they most likely were at the end of their cycle).  The majority of extensions will stay through a complete cycle if you follow these guidelines:

  • Your natural eyelashes should be kept dry for a minimum of two hours - 48 hours would be ideal.  This allows the adhesive to properly bond to a dry eyelash - soggy eyelashes do not make for good adhesion!  A dry wash-cloth can be rolled up and placed over your brows when you shower to protect your extensions from becoming totally saturated. Activities like swimming, can resume 48 hours after the appointment.
  • Take special care around the eye area when cleansing your face. Gently cleanse the eye area and do not scrub or rub your eyes.  Avoid any type of oil-based product around the eyes as these can break down the adhesive and cause the extensions to fall off.  Normal face washing with soap and water is fine, though it is best to wait up to 12 hours after treatment. You can purchase a lash cleanser from us for £16.
  • Do not use regular or waterproof mascara.  Most brands of mascara contain chemicals and oils that will break down the adhesive used in eyelash extensions.  Removing mascara from your lashes can cause the extensions to fall off prematurely as well.
  • Never use a clamp-style eyelash curler on your extensions.  This can permanently damage not only the extensions, but your natural eyelashes as well.  Eyelash combs are great for grooming your lashes every morning and you will be given one on your first appointment.
  • Avoiding extreme variations of heat, humidity, and temperature (e.g. hot showers, saunas, freezing weather) will help your extensions last longer.
  • Be sure to schedule an infill appointment every two to three weeks for timely touch-ups.  This will keep your lashes looking full and natural, indefinitely.
  • Do not attempt to remove the extensions yourself.  Have them removed by us to ensure safe and effective removal.

  • To ensure you receive the maximum benefits from the massage treatment you have received then the following after care advice is recommended, thank you.

    Massage movements release excess toxins from the body. This can lead to a “healing reaction” when your body goes through the process of cleansing itself by eliminating toxins. It is therefore normal to experience one or more of the following symptoms starting within the 24 hours following your massage;

    * Headache
    * Feeling tearful
    * Increased trips to the toilet
    * Excess tiredness
    * Inability to settle/sleep
    * Increased perspiration
    * Skin break outs
    * Flu like symptoms
    * Dehydration

    These symptoms are only temporary and should fully subside within 48 hours of your treatment.

    Over the next 24 hours:
    * Drink plenty of water. Water helps the body to eliminate the toxins.
    * Avoid drinking alcohol, or drinks containing caffeine. These contain toxins and can dehydrate the body further.
    * Avoid eating for 1 hour after the treatment. When you do eat, try to have a light meal and include fresh vegetables, salads and fruit.
    * Avoid strenuous activity and allow yourself time to continue to relax.

    Ongoing Care:
    * Find time for regular gentle exercise.
    * Find time for regular relaxation.
    * Eat a healthy, balanced diet.
